The Moon has a faster rotational speed and will therefore catch up to the Sun with the passage of time. In this scenario, the Moon is said to be applying to the Sun. Applying aspects are usually marked in the aspect grid with a + sign. They are of no importance in natal charts, but do find a use in future trends.
